Adam Trautman Expected To Miss 4-6 Weeks
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints tight end Adam Trautman (knee) suffered a sprained MCL in the Week 11 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and is expected to miss four to six weeks, according to a source. Of course the bad injury news comes a day after Trautman had his most productive game of the season by catching five of his season-high eight targets for a season-high 58 yards and his first touchdown of the season. Tight end-needy fantasy teams can forget about picking him up off the waiver wire after his big day on Sunday, and there's a chance he may not return to New Orleans to close out the season. With Trautman sidelined, Juwan Johnson should see an uptick in targets and is worth considering in deeper leagues as a TE2. Johnson only has nine catches on 16 targets for 108 yards in eight games, but he has found the end zone three times.
