Taysom Hill Signs Four-Year Contract Extension
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill signed a unique four-year contract extension on Monday that could be worth anywhere from $40 million and $95 million, depending on the position he plays, according to sources. The deal includes $22.5 million guaranteed. Hill lost out on the starting QB job to Jameis Winston heading into the 2021 season and has served as the backup to Trevor Siemian since Winston suffered a season-ending knee injury. Siemian has put up decent fantasy numbers since taking over the starting gig, but he did throw two interceptions (one was a pick-six) in a bad loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. We don't expect Hill to become the starter on a short week for the Thanksgiving game, but it could be coming soon. If Siemian is benched and Hill makes a start, he'll be in the QB2 conversation in superflex leagues, mainly because of his rushing ability.
