3 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said that it's "trending toward" quarterback Cam Newton starting in Week 11 against the Washington Football Team, but he won't make an official announcement until later in the week. The Panthers will get both Newton and P.J. Walker ready and hasn't ruled out both playing in certain packages on Sunday. Newton made his return to Carolina last weekend and rejuvenated the team in limited playing time, going 3-for-4 passing for eight yards and a touchdown and carrying the ball three times for 14 yards and another score. The former MVP deserves to be picked up in most leagues, if he hasn't been already, and he'll have QB1 streaming appeal if he starts this weekend against a Washington defense that has allowed the most fantasy points per game to QBs all season long.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
