Ben Skowronek To Step Into Robert Woods' Role
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams rookie wide receiver Ben Skowronek is set to step into Robert Woods' (knee) role for the Monday night game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. The seventh-rounder has played just 37 offensive snaps in his first seven NFL games this year and has recorded three catches for 30 yards while also taking four kickoff returns for 70 yards. Woods was the team's second leading receiver behind Cooper Kupp before tearing his ACL in practice on Friday, but that doesn't mean that Skowronek will be as productive stepping into his new role. Odell Beckham Jr. will be making his Rams debut on Monday and should also have a role in the offense, all it remains to be seen how big of a role in his first game. Second-year wideout Van Jefferson will also be involved. At the very least, Skowronek is worth a speculative addition in deep leagues.
