Chiefs Open Kyle Long's Practice Window
3 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs designated offensive lineman Kyle Long (knee) to return to practice on Tuesday from the Physically Unable to Perform list. Long came out of retirement in the offseason to try and help an offensive line that was destroyed in the Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the veteran has yet to play a snap in 2021 due to an injury that he suffered in organized team activities. The Chiefs will now have 21 days to activate him from the PUP list. Kansas City is also dealing with injuries to both right tackles Mike Remmers and Lucas Niang, so there's a chance that Long could fill in there if he returns to action soon. The 32-year-old Long spent most of his career at right guard, but he earned a Pro Bowl selection at right tackle in 2015 with the Chicago Bears.
