Jets Won't Play Zach Wilson Until He's Fully Healthy
3 years agoThe New York Jets are hoping rookie quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) will return to practice this week after suffering a knee injury in Week 7, but the first-rounder will have to prove he's fully healthy before the team will give him the green light to start in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills. If Wilson doesn't get clearance this week, Mike White would make his third career start. Wilson is in Week 3 of his recovery from a PCL sprain that carried a two- to four-week timeline. Head coach Robert Saleh said he should know by Wednesday who he plans to start this weekend. White suffered a nerve contusion in his right forearm in last week's loss, but he should be good to go against Buffalo if the team needs him. If he gets another start, he'll be a desperation low-end QB2 in superflex leagues against a really good Bills defense.
