Broncos Getting Creative With Jerry Jeudy
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos got creative in their Week 9 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in how they got the ball to second-year wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur used more pre-snap motion and bubble screens to get the ball in Jeudy's hands. In his first two games this year, Jeudy averaged 10.09 yards per target deeper down the field, but on Sunday against Dallas, he averaged just 8.63 yards per target and caught six of a season-high eight targets for 69 yards. The 22-year-old has 10 catches on 12 targets for 108 yards the last two weeks after returning from a high ankle sprain he suffered in Week 1. It remains to be seen if his usage in Week 9 will become more of the norm, but regardless, fantasy managers have to like the fact that Denver is creating ways to get the ball in his hands. He'll be an upside WR3/flex in Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
