Melvin Gordon III Stretches Touchdown Streak To Three Games
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III had a season-high 21 carries for 80 yards and a touchdown in the upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 by a score of 30-16. Gordon added two catches on his three targets for 15 yards. He has now found the end zone four times in the last three games and out-touched rookie teammate Javonte Williams 23 to 17 on Sunday despite getting out-gained 111-95. Gordon had only 3.8 yards per carry in Week 9, but he was the beneficiary of the Broncos being up by multiple scores for nearly the entire game in positive game script. Williams has more big-play ability and long-term upside than Gordon, but as long as Gordon continues to share basically half of the offensive snaps, he'll remain on the RB2/3 borderline.
