Javonte Williams Reaches Century Mark For The First Time
3 years agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Javonte Williams had his first 100-yard rushing game of his career in the shocking 31-16 Week 9 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. He had a season-high 17 carries on the day for 111 yards (6.5 yards per carry), but he wasn't targeted in the passing game. Williams was also out-touched 23-17 by Melvin Gordon, who was able to find the end zone. The 21-year-old ran angry and continues to be more of a big-play back than Gordon, but because he's found the end zone just twice so far in his rookie year, Gordon has been the more valuable fantasy running back in 2021. Expect the Broncos to continue alternating the two runners on offense, which will continue to keep them both on the RB2/3 borderline.
