Jets Remain Unwilling To Part With Denzel Mims
3 years agoThe New York Jets received trade calls about wide receiver Denzel Mims and continued to turn interested teams down, according to sources. The 24-year-old former second-rounder last year saw his first start of the season in the Week 8 win over the Cincinnati Bengals with Corey Davis (hip) sidelined, and Mims played a season-high 70% of the offensive snaps, but he still had just two catches on three targets for 30 yards. Mims has only six receptions for 109 yards in five games played in 2021 after catching 23 passes for 357 scoreless yards in nine games (eight starts) in his rookie campaign. Until he starts seeing a bigger role in this offense -- he ranks sixth among Jets wideouts with a 21.8% snap share on the season -- Mims is well off the radar in fantasy leagues.
