Titans Add D'Onta Foreman To Running Back Room
3 years agoIn addition to signing veteran Adrian Peterson on Monday, the Tennessee Titans signed D'Onta Foreman to their practice squad on Tuesday. The running back additions come after Tennessee announced on Monday that Derrick Henry (foot), the NFL's leading rusher, will need surgery and will miss six to 10 weeks. The Titans also signed defensive back Nate Brooks and defensive lineman Niles Scott to their practice squad and released linebacker Avery Williamson and waived running back Mekhi Sargent, defensive lineman Caraun Reid and defensive lineman Eli Ankou. Foreman had 22 carries for 95 yards in six games for the Titans last season. Peterson is expected to eventually take over early downs with Henry out, while Jeremy McNichols figures to have a bigger role as a pass-catcher.
