Zach Wilson Should Practice Next Week
3 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said the team didn't put rookie quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) on Injured Reserve because they think that he'll be back at practice leading up to the Week 10 game against the Buffalo Bills. Wilson may not necessarily be ready to play in Week 10, but it's good news that he won't go on IR, which would require him to miss at least three games. The first-rounder will miss his second straight game this Thursday after suffering a PCL sprain in Week 7. After Mike White surprisingly led the Jets to a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in his first career start, the Jets will roll with him again against Indy this Thursday. Even if White pulls another rabbit out of his hat in Week 9, it's unlikely that Wilson wouldn't have the starting job back once he's healthy.
