3 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh announced on Wednesday that Mike White will start in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Jets traded for veteran Joe Flacco this week with rookie first-rounder Zach Wilson (knee) expected to miss two to four weeks with his knee injury, but it'll be White, not Flacco, getting the nod this Sunday against Cincy. White tossed a touchdown to No. 1 receiver Corey Davis when he replaced Wilson in the Week 6 blowout loss to the New England Patriots, going 20-for-32 for 202 yards and two interceptions. The Jets feel that White has a strong grasp of their offense, but last Sunday's game was his first NFL action after being a fifth-round selection by the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. At best, he'll be a desperation QB2 in superflex leagues in his first NFL start this Sunday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
