Teddy Bridgewater, Broncos Offense Sluggish In Loss
3 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who came into the Thursday night game against the Cleveland Browns nursing foot and quadriceps injuries, completed just 23 of 33 passes for 187 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the 17-14 loss. Bridgewater didn't look 100 percent, and the Denver offense had just two first downs in the first half of action. The 28-year-old picked things up in the second half with two touchdown passes to both of his running backs, but he also threw an interception for the third straight game. The Broncos offense continues to struggle on third downs and just didn't have much sense of urgency on the road on a short week. The good news: They'll have 10 days to make adjustments, and receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) is expected to return in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. Bridgewater should have a bounce-back game in that one, but he remains a low-end QB2.
