T.J. Hockenson On Track To Play In Week 7
3 years agoDetroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. He should be good to play in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams, where he will remain a strong TE1 option despite going through a three-game stretch from Week 3-5 where he caught just eight total passes while seeing extra coverage from opposing defenses. But Hockenson had eight grabs for 74 yards last Sunday and also missed a potential 38-yard touchdown. His average of 3.1 yards of separation leads the Lions this year, according to Next Gen Stats. The Lions are trying to move Hockenson around more to get him better one-on-one matchups. He is among the top five at his position in targets (44), catches (32) and receiving yards (311) through six games.
