Marcus Cannon Out 12 Weeks After Having Surgery
3 years agoHouston Texans offensive tackle Marcus Cannon (back), who was placed on Injured Reserve last week, recently underwent back surgery to fix a herniated disc and is now out roughly 12 weeks, according to a source. Cannon is unlikely to return the rest of this season. With Cannon expected to miss the rest of the year, the Texans will likely ask Charlie Heck to serve as the starting left tackle moving forward. It's bad news for rookie quarterback Davis Mills, who could be making his last start in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts with Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) getting closer to a return from Injured Reserve.
