ANALYSIS: The 27th pick in the 2021 draft had core muscle surgery in the preseason but has worked his way back and will make his debut against the Chargers in Week 6. Bateman, the former Minnesota Gopher, was turning heads and drawing rave reviews in training camp prior to his injury. He was impressive in college, totaling 19 touchdowns in three seasons and going for 1,219 receiving yards (20.3 yards per reception) with 11 touchdowns in an incredible sophomore campaign. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman hinted at limiting his snaps out of the gate, but Sammy Watkins (averaging 81.5% snap share prior to Week 5) will be out and Duvernay/Proche simply aren't on the same level as Bateman. The Ravens have evolved to feature a pretty potent passing attack, and while the much-hyped rookie could be somewhat held back in Week 6, he's a priority pickup for managers looking for wide receiver help. He's a solid option for managers looking for a bench stash with plenty of upside, too.
