Dalvin Cook Could Be Game-Time Decision
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said that running back Dalvin Cook (ankle) is doing better, but he could still be a game-time decision in Week 5 against the Detroit Lions. Cook is officially listed as questionable for the second straight week. The 26-year-old played through his ankle sprain in the Week 4 loss to the Cleveland Browns, but he saw only 49 percent of the offensive snaps and was ineffective with limited touches. Cook will be playing at less than 100 percent if he's active this Sunday, but if he's playing, he needs to be started against a terrible Lions run defense. If Cook misses his second game of the season, backup Alexander Mattison will be a must-start RB1 after he went off with Cook out in Week 3.
