Chas McCormick Draws A Start In Game 2
3 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Chas McCormick will make his playoff debut in Game 2 of the ALDS against the Chicago White Sox. He's starting in center field and batting eighth in the game. Jake Meyers covered center field in the series opener on Thursday, but he will head to the bench on Friday. McCormick had a solid rookie year with the Astros. Over 108 games, the 26-year-old slashed .257/.319/.447 with 14 home runs, 50 RBI and 47 runs. We'll see if he can give the lineup a boost as the team faces right-hander Lucas Giolito. McCormick went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts in his only at-bats against Giolito this season.
