Max Muncy Won't Need Surgery
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy (elbow) recently visited Dr. ElAttrache and an MRI exam confirmed the original diagnosis of a dislocated elbow and some other damage. Muncy will keep his elbow immobilized for a couple of weeks and will not need surgery as "everything is where it should be." The 31-year-old dislocated his left elbow in the regular season finale on Sunday, and while he's not ruled out for the postseason, the Dodgers would likely have to advance deep into the playoffs yet again for Muncy to even have a shot at returning. Matt Beaty got the start at first base in the wild-card win over the St. Louis Cardinals, and Cody Bellinger and Albert Pujols will also be options to man the cold corner in the National League Division Series against the rival San Francisco Giants.
