Carson Wentz's Ankles Improving
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz (ankles) was listed as a full participant in practice on Thursday to start the week. A full practice to begin the week is a good sign that Wentz's ankles are improving after he sprained both ankles in the Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The former Philadelphia Eagle hasn't missed a game, though. Wentz went just 19-for-37 for 194 yards in Week 3, but he was a little better in the Week 4 win over the Miami Dolphins, going 24-for-32 for 228 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. It's encouraging that he's moving around better, but the 28-year-old has yet to throw for 300 yards. The Colts are just asking Wentz to avoid turnovers and take what the defense gives him in this run-first offense, which will keep his ceiling and floor low. You're only starting him as a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues against an aggressive Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 5.
