Javonte Williams Doesn't Do Much In Loss To Ravens
3 years agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Javonte Williams had a 6.9 yard-per-carry average in the 23-7 Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, carrying the ball seven times for 48 yards on the ground. He caught all three of his targets for 11 yards. Williams had two fewer carries than Melvin Gordon and one fewer target, and the offense abandoned the run while falling behind multiple scores in the second half. It didn't help that quarterback Drew Lock was forced into action when Teddy Bridgewater was diagnosed with a concussion at halftime. The 21-year-old looked good with his limited touches on Sunday, but he has a tough matchup in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and remains in a near-even timeshare with Gordon.
