3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers have officially ruled running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) out for the Week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys. We knew that McCaffrey wouldn't be available this weekend after he injured his hamstring in the Thursday night win over the Houston Texans in Week 3, but the good news is that he's not going on Injured Reserve. The 25-year-old won't be guaranteed to be back in Week 5, but there's a chance he'll be ready by Week 6. Rookie Chuba Hubbard and Royce Freeman are expected to split backfield duties this Sunday against Dallas. Hubbard should see first dibs on touches over Freeman and will have clear RB2 upside. The rookie was the top waiver-wire target after McCaffrey's injury last week.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
