Elijah Mitchell Returns To A Limited Practice
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie running back Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) was a limited practice participant on Wednesday after he was inactive in the Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. It's a good start to the week, but Mitchell is still no guarantee to return to the field this coming Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. With Mitchell and JaMycal Hasty (ankle) out last week, fullback Kyle Juszczyk saw 68.6 percent of the offensive snaps, with rookie Trey Sermon playing getting 58.6 percent of the snap share. Juszczyk carried the ball five times for 14 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 37 yards and another score. Sermon had 10 carries for 31 yards and his first career TD. Expect something similar if Mitchell is out again this weekend, while Mitchell will be on the RB3/flex radar if he returns against a Seahawks defense that has allowed the most fantasy points per game to RBs so far this year.
