Fernando Tatis Jr. Sitting Out On Wednesday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop/outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Max Scherzer and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Padres are no longer in contention for the postseason and as a result, Tatis is sitting for the second time in three games. Jake Cronenworth is covering shortstop on Wednesday. Tatis has had a monster season, slashing .282/.367/.612 with 41 home runs, 25 stolen bases, 95 RBI and 98 runs over 125 games. Expect for the Padres to give him at least one more day off over their last four games of the year.
