Tim Anderson Suspended But Elects To Appeal
3 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has been suspended for three regular season games by the MLB. The decision has been made in response to Anderson making contact with an umpire in Monday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Anderson has elected to appeal the suspension, so he is still eligible to play while his appeal is being processed. He's in the starting lineup and leading off in Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. The suspension has no bearing on the post-season so if the appeal takes more than a few days and Anderson loses it, he will serve some or all of the suspension next season.
