James White Expected To Miss Rest Of Season
3 years agoAfter further medical examinations this week, New England Patriots running back James White (hip) is expected to miss the rest of the season. White should be placed on season-ending Injured Reserve at some point this week. It's a tough blow for the Patriots backfield and for fantasy managers that had White rostered in PPR leagues. The 29-year-old was the team's clear favorite on passing downs, and he had 10 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown and 12 receptions for 94 yards in the first three games of the season. Damien Harris can't be trusted to pass block, so Brandon Bolden and J.J. Taylor could split third-down snaps moving forward. Rookie Rhamondre Stevenson should also see a bigger role the rest of the way.
