Andrew Benintendi Suffers Knee Injury On Tuesday
3 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi (knee) was removed in the eighth inning of Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Indians. He fouled a ball off his right knee in the bottom of the eighth inning. He finished his at-bat and drew a walk, but was replaced on the base paths by Hanser Alberto. Benintendi could have just been removed as a precaution. We should know more about the severity of the injury soon. The 27-year-old hit his 17th home run of the year in the first inning of Tuesday's game. He's slashing .275/.318/.442 over 129 games on the year.
