D'Andre Swift To Be More Involved In Passing Game?
3 years agoDetroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift already has 12 catches through two games, but he could get more involved through the air earlier in games. While Detroit isn't giving up on their wide receivers just yet, head coach Dan Campbell said another solution is to get the ball in the hands of Swift and tight end T.J. Hockenson more. Swift leads the team in targets (20), receiving yards (106) and touchdowns (two). However, he's really only gotten involved through the air when the team has been out of the game. Eighty nine of his 106 receiving yards have come in the second half with Detroit trailing by multiple scores. Swift is also tied for first in the NFL in missed tackles forced on receptions (seven). The 22-year-old should remain heavily involved with Tyrell Williams (concussion) out again, and he makes for a high-end RB2 in PPR leagues in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens.
