Trey Burton To Visit With Jaguars
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer confirmed that tight end Trey Burton has a visit scheduled with the team. Burton never landed with a team after becoming an unrestricted free agent in the offseason. In 13 games (four starts) for the Indianapolis Colts in 2020, Burton had 28 catches on 47 targets for 250 yards and three touchdowns in a timeshare with Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox. He also ran the ball twice for scores. Jacksonville is looking for some more tight end depth after recently placing James O'Shaughnessy on Injured Reserve with an injury he suffered in the Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos. Chris Manhertz and rookie Luke Farrell are the next men up at the position for the Jags.
