Wade Miley Will Have His Next Start Skipped
3 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Wade Miley (neck) is currently dealing with a stiff neck. As a result, his next turn in the rotation will be skipped. The Reds will be going with Luis Castillo, Sonny Gray, Vladimir Gutierrez and Tyler Mahle in their four-game series against the Washington Nationals, which begins on Thursday. Miley, who made his last start this past Sunday, will now make his next trip to the mound on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 34-year-old southpaw has really struggled this month. He's allowed at least five earned runs in three of his last four starts and he has a whopping 8.35 ERA overall in September. The Pirates are a favorable matchup for him, but they are also one of the teams who tagged Miley for five earned runs earlier this month.
