Jedrick Wills Questionable For Home Opener
3 years agoCleveland Browns left tackle Jedrick Wills (ankle) is questionable for Week 2 against the Houston Texans after getting injured in the Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He did not practice all week. Chris Hubbard (triceps), Wills' primary backup, has already been ruled out for this Sunday. If Wills is unable to play, rookie James Hudson III or Blake Hance would be expected to start at left tackle against the Texans. Hudson is a fourth-rounder that worked at left and right tackle in training camp. Hance made his NFL debut in the playoffs as an injury replacement last year while filling in at guard and at left tackle. This is a concerning development for the protection of quarterback Baker Mayfield, but the nice matchup against Houston will keep him as a high-end QB2 this weekend.
