Lions Not Optimistic About Tyrell Williams
3 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell didn't sound optimistic about wide receiver Tyrell Williams (concussion) and his availability for Monday night's game against the Green Bay Packers. Williams remains in the concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in the Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and he's not in the building on Thursday. Kalif Raymond and rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown saw the most work alongside Williams in the season opener. Quintez Cephus would likely start in three-receiver sets if Williams is unable to get cleared by Monday. The Lions figure to be in comeback mode against the Packers on the road, but it will still be hard to trust any of their receivers as more than deep-league sleeper options in a flex spot. Tight end T.J. Hockenson will likely remain the team's top receiving threat throughout the season.
