Matt Manning Holds Brewers To One Run Over Six Frames
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning had one of the best starts of his young career in Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He pitched six innings and allowed two hits, three walks and one earned run while striking out six. He earned the win to improve to 4-6 on the year. Manning has been extremely inconsistent lately. He's now earned quality starts in three of his last six outings, but in his first outing of September, he was tagged for eight runs over 3 2/3 innings. He's too risky to trust for fantasy purposes at this point. His next start will be a tough one against the Chicago White Sox on Monday.
