Pedro Severino Exits With Leg Injury On Tuesday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Pedro Severino (leg) was removed from Tuesday's game against the New York Yankees in the seventh inning due to a leg injury. He was replaced in the game by Austin Wynns. Severino injured his leg while attempting to run out a double play ball in the sixth inning. The injury comes at a rough time as Severino had been hitting well lately. Going into Tuesday's game, he was batting .304 over seven games this month. In his most recent start on Saturday, he'd gone 3-for-4. Severino and Wynns have been sharing the starts at catcher about evenly lately. Wynns may see an increase in playing time now due to Severino's injury, though we don't know anything about the severity of it yet.
