Jacob deGrom Throws Off A Mound On Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) threw 10 pitches off of a mound on Tuesday, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. This was of course a light session, but it was also a big step in deGrom's recovery as this was his first bullpen work since he was shutdown in July. Last week, it was revealed that deGrom had a sprain and partial tear of the UCL in his right elbow. However, on the bright side, his ligament injury has reportedly healed. deGrom remains without a timeline for a return, but it seems very unlikely at this point that he will return before the end of the regular season, despite the positive step on Tuesday.
