Ryan Fitzpatrick Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Washington Football Team placed quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday afternoon. The move is not surprising as the veteran signal-caller is expected to be out about six to eight weeks due to a hip subluxation that he suffered in the team's Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Taylor Heinicke, a 28-year-old journeyman in his second year with Washington, will be the team's starter going forward. Kyle Allen is set to be his backup. The loss of Fitzpatrick is a tough loss to swallow for several fantasy players on Washington. Star receiver Terry McLaurin should still be viewed as a high-end WR2, but he may have a harder time providing consistent fantasy stats with Heinicke behind center.
