3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Edmundo Sosa (wrist) is back in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Rich Hill and the New York Mets. The 25-year-old was held out of the starting lineup for four straight games as he was nursing a left wrist sprain. However, he did enter Sunday's game as a pinch-hitter and went 0-for-2. Sosa has outperformed fellow shortstop Paul DeJong at the plate over the past few months and he's become the team's primary shortstop as a result. He had an OPS of 1.071 in August and he's slashing .279/.354/.400 on the year.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
