Courtland Sutton Does Very Little In Week 1 Win
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton was barely heard from on Sunday in the 27-13 win over the New York Giants in Week 1. Playing in his first regular season game since tearing his ACL in Week 2 of last year, Sutton was handled with kid gloves by the Denver coaching staff, which was a likely scenario coming into the game. In total, he caught just one of his three targets for 14 yards in the victory. It was a disappointing week, but the 25-year-old should finish the year as the team's top target, and he has a very favorable Week 2 draw against the Jaguars. Sutton should also see more volume and snaps as well after No. 2 receiver Jerry Jeudy suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 1. It's a slow start for Sutton, but better weeks are surely ahead.
