KJ Hamler Leaves Lots Of Points On The Field
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler finished the 27-13 Week 1 win over the New York Giants with three catches on four targets for 41 yards. But Hamler could've had a much bigger game if he hadn't dropped what would have been at least a potential 50-yard touchdown catch after he burnt New York's secondary with his elite speed. The second-year wide receiver is an exciting deep threat with big-play potential, but he entered the season on the waiver wire in most 12-team leagues because he's buried on the depth chart. Jerry Jeudy (ankle) will likely be out around a month with a high-ankle sprain, so Hamler will now become a boom/bust WR4/flex option in deeper leagues. That boom potential could come to fruition as early as Week 2 against a Jaguars defense that was pounded by the Texans in the season opener.
