Teddy Bridgewater Tosses Two Touchdowns In Broncos Debut
3 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was successful in his debut with the team after beating out Drew Lock in the QB competition during training camp and the preseason. Bridgewater finished 28-for-36 for 264 passing yards and two touchdowns while also running the ball three times for 19 yards in the Week 1 season-opening win over the New York Giants on the road. The 28-year-old signal-caller wasn't asked to do a whole lot with his arm with the Broncos defense holding the Giants offense down, but Bridgewater looked good with the ball in his hands and spread the ball around nicely. He's likely to lose second-year receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) for around a month with a high-ankle sprain, but Bridgewater could be a DFS streaming option in Week 2 against a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that gave up 37 points to the Houston Texans in Week 1.
