Bradley Chubb Inactive Against Giants
3 years agoDenver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb (ankle) will be inactive in the Week 1 season opener against the New York Giants. Chubb's injury isn't considered serious, but the Broncos are erring on the side of caution here to preserve the pass-rusher for the long haul. The 25-year-old had offseason ankle surgery, but it's his other ankle that is actually keeping him out against New York. The first-rounder obviously isn't an option in IDP leagues on Sunday, but the Broncos defensive unit as a whole could have a big day against turnover-prone Daniel Jones and a Giants offense that won't be using running back Saquon Barkley for a full allotment of snaps. Rookie seventh-rounder Jonathon Cooper is likely to fill in for Chubb at weakside linebacker.
