Brandon McManus Is A Low-End Kicking Option
3 years agoDenver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus didn't miss a single kick in the preseason and led the NFL with 10 field goals of 50-plus yards in 2020. Regardless, McManus isn't widely considered a viable weekly starting kicker to open the 2021 campaign. Why is that? He has one of the strongest legs in the league and has the advantage of kicking at altitude in half of his games. The team's offensive inefficiency last season, mostly due to poor quarterback play, was what held McManus back from being a weekly fantasy starter. The 30-year-old made 28 of his 34 field goals and 24 of his 27 extra-point tries. McManus is more attractive in leagues that reward more points for longer kicks, but until the Broncos offense becomes more consistent, he'll be a low-end weekly starting option.
