3 years agoThe Houston Astros placed starting pitcher Zack Greinke on the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday. The team stated that health and safety protocols were the reason for the transaction. First baseman Taylor Jones was also moved to the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday. Infielder Robel Garcia and pitcher Josh James were recalled to fill the empty roster spots. Greinke had been on a roll with four consecutive quality starts before he had a rough outing against the Texas Rangers this past Sunday, giving up six earned runs over four innings. He is 11-5 with a 3.66 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP on the year. We don't know how long Greinke will be out at this point. Stay tuned for more updates.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
