Happy Sunday gang! We have an eleven-game slate on our hands this afternoon. We do have some rain potential in Philly, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Chicago this afternoon. I'm only really concerned with Pittsburgh, Detriot, and Chicago. However, I'll do my best to update before lock if there are any other weather concerns with the guys I have listed below. Let's get right to it!
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/29/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Tylor Megill - NYM vs WAS ($7,200)
We shouldn't be paying up much for pitchers today, especially in tournaments. We start off with Tylor Megill at just $7200. The Mets rookie has been nothing but solid for the Mets this season, bringing in a 4.04 xFIP and 25.6% K-rate. He got roughed up in his last start but considering it was the Giants, whom he had faced just a week prior. I feel confident in Megill throwing a quality start against what's left of the Nationals.
Ranger Suarez - PHI vs ARI ($6,000)
We have an extremely solid value piece today with Phillies starter Ranger Suarez, who comes into this one with a 3.83 xFIP. He did get roughed up by the Diamondbacks last week, but he bounced back with very good start against the Rays on Tuesday. He threw 6.2 innings with seven strikeouts, throwing 99 pitches, meaning he's fully stretched out as a starter and should be treated as such. He's a pitcher with a high floor who should get a win bonus at $6K. Love Suarez today.
Other Options: Dylan Cease ($10,000), Tanner Houck ($8,100)

DraftKings DFS Infielders
Tyler Stephenson - C, CIN @ MIA ($4,100)
The Reds take on Jesus Luzardo today, and we look for some value at the catcher position. That brings us to Tyler Stephenson. Stephenson has been cold of late, however, he still has a .543 wOBA + ISO against lefties on the year, and should hit in the middle of the lineup for Cincy.
Travis Shaw - 1B/3B, BOS @ CLE ($3,500)
I'm hoping he's in the lineup today because I'd love to use Shaw for value. He faces Eli Morgan, who comes in with a 5.98 ERA. We look to stack Boston today, so we'll take all the cheap pieces I could get. In the last 30 days, Shaw has had an impeccable 1.133 wOBA + ISO against right-handed pitching. It's a small sample size, sure, but can definitely come in handy.
Jorge Polanco - 2B/SS, MIL @ MIN ($3,800)
Jorge Polanco has been solid all year for the Twins. His numbers aren't eye-popping against lefties, but with a respectable .534 wOBA + ISO he should be a solid fit in your lineups today. He draws a solid matchup against Aaron Ashby and should hit value.
Rafael Devers - 3B, BOS @ CLE ($6,100)
I feel like Devers is underappreciated when we talk about the best young hitters. He's crushing right-handed pitchers this year, coming in with a 46.7% hard-contact rate and a whopping .735 wOBA + ISO. He's pricey, but worth it since we're planning on stacking Boston.
Xander Bogaerts - SS, BOS @ CLE ($5,900)
Likely hitting behind Devers, Xander comes in with a .589 wOBA + ISO against right-handers. His hard-contact rate isn't considerably high, but I'm not too worried since he shouldn't need a home run to hit value.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Nick Castellanos - OF, CIN @ MIA ($4,500)
Nick Castellanos has been on a tear this season, especially against left-handed pitchers. He has a 44.4% hard-contact rate to pair with a .599 wOBA + ISO. He's got a great matchup against Jesus Luzardo today, who comes in with a 7.91 ERA.
J.D. Martinez - OF, BOS @ CLE ($5,100)
Martinez is another guy who's been having a fantastic year, and now he gets a solid matchup against Eli Morgan, fitting right into the Red Sox stack. Martinez is a reverse-splits hitter this season, with a 46.3% hard-contact rate and a .634 wOBA + ISO against righties.
Alex Verdugo - OF, BOS @ CLE ($3,800)
Verdugo has been relatively cold of late, though had some really solid games last week. I'm not quite sure why he's this cheap though, but we'll take it. Verdugo is hitting to a .590 wOBA + ISO against right-handed pitchers, and fits great in our Boston stack.
