Salvador Perez Launches A Grand Slam On Thursday
3 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez had the biggest hit of the day in the team's 6-4 win over the Seattle Mariners. In the sixth inning, he hit a grand slam that gave the Royals a lead they would never relinquish. It was his only hit of the game as he went 1-for-5. Perez now has 35 home runs, 86 RBI and 60 runs on the year. He's slashing .272/.308/.527 over 126 games this season. He has an elite 54.8% hard-hit rate that ranks in the 97th percentile of the league. He also ranks in the 94th percentile in average exit velocity (92.6 mph) and in the 93rd percentile in xSLG (.538).
