Niko Goodrum Begins Rehab Assignment At Single-A
3 years agoDetroit Tigers utility man Niko Goodrum (groin) began a rehab assignment at Single-A Lakeland on Wednesday. Goodrum has been sidelined since August 11 due to a left groin strain. It was estimated that he would miss a few weeks with the injury, so he's maybe just a little behind schedule at this point. Goodrum missed nearly a month of action from mid-July to early August due to a calf injury. Upon returning from the calf injury, he only managed to play in two games before suffering the groin strain. He's been a solid source of stolen bases this year with 12 steals over 65 games, but we'll need to see him stay on the field before he's worth considering as an add off the waiver wire.
