3 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Castellanos is likely to opt out of his contract at the end of the 2021 season, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman. He has two years and $34 million left on his contract after this year, but he will be primed for a much more lucrative deal as a free agent this offseason. The 29-year-old Castellanos is in the midst of a career-best season. Over 105 games this year, he's slashing .318/.376/.565 with 22 home runs, 70 RBI and 73 runs.
