Didi Gregorius Tallies Two Hits In Tuesday's Loss
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius had a solid game in the team's 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. He went 2-for-4 in the game and scored the team's only run. Gregorius has had a rough 2021 season, battling multiple injuries and struggling to find consistency at the plate when active. Over 73 games on the year, he's slashed .215/.271/.385 with 10 home runs, 37 RBI and 26 runs. His .655 OPS on the year is lower than it ever was during his Yankees days. On the bright side, August has been his best month so far. He's slashed .254/.307/.433 with nine RBI over 18 games this month. He's worth monitoring down the stretch in case he heats up, but for now he can remain on waivers in all leagues.
