Eric Haase To Begin Rehab Assignment On Tuesday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder/catcher Eric Haase (abdomen) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday. He will be playing catcher in the game with Matthew Boyd (triceps) on the mound. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said that Haase is "doing quite well" in his rehabilitation. Haase has been sidelined since August 16 due to a right abdominal strain. It looks like there's a good chance that he'll be able to rejoin the Tigers after missing the minimum of 10 days. Haase should be rostered in just about all leagues as he had been providing a lot of value out of the catcher spot. Over 70 games on the year, he's slashed .238/.293/.512 with 19 home runs, 49 RBI and 40 runs.
